Whalebone is a global company working on user-centric cybersecurity products for telcos, ISPs, enterprises, public institutions, and governments that provide millions of everyday internet users unyielding protection from malware, phishing schemes, ransomware, and other malicious digital attacks without the need for them to download anything. Whalebone is headquartered in Brno, Czech Republic.

As our Facility Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping our workplace as we scale from 115 to close to 200 employees by the end of this year. Your focus will be on ensuring a smooth expansion, securing the right spaces for our growing team, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.

In Q2/Q3, you’ll lead the search for a second location in Brno for 50–100 people, close to our current office in Jezuitská. Looking ahead, you’ll also be responsible for finding a long-term headquarters to support a 200+ person team.

What You'll be Responsible For

    Office Expansion & Real Estate

    • Find and secure a second office location in Brno for Q2/Q3 2025, ensuring it meets our needs for space, accessibility, and flexibility.

    • Plan and lead the long-term office search and relocation for a 200+ team, aligning with future company growth.

    • Negotiate leases and contracts, ensuring optimal terms and cost efficiency.

    Office & Facilities Management

    • Oversee the day-to-day management of our offices, ensuring they are functional, welcoming, and efficient.

    • Manage vendor relationships (landlords, cleaning, security, utilities) and ensure high-quality services.

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace regulations.

    Workplace Experience & Optimization

    • Optimize office space to support team growth, collaboration, and productivity.

    • Partner with HR and IT to improve workplace services and solutions.

    • Oversee procurement of furniture, equipment, and office supplies.

    Project & Budget Management

    • Develop and manage the facility budget, ensuring smart and sustainable spending.

    • Plan and execute office moves, renovations, and fit-outs, ensuring minimal disruption.


Job requirements

Requirements

  • Experienced in facility management, office expansion, or real estate.
  • Organized and proactive, with strong project management skills.
  • A problem-solver who finds solutions and thinks ahead.
  • Knowledgeable about the Brno real estate market and lease negotiations.
  • Collaborative, able to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and leadership.
  • Fluent in Czech and English.
